Government Model College join Ikorodu School Introduction to Cricket Program
Government Model College students combining Juniors, SS1 and SS2 all participated in the introduction to cricket program lead by Lagos State Cricket Head Coach Ingram Jones.
By the end of the session every pupil was able to individually show how to pick up a bat, hold correctly and be in a proper stance as the coach would test them. With over 100 students and the sports master the start of the cricket program was a success and we welcome Government Model College to the family of new cricketers in Ikorodu joining Majidun and Ipakodo schools whom are already on the program.
Last week selected Ipakodo students joined Lagos state players to train and Majidun will join them this weekend. 48 new cricketers joining Lagos State this weekend at Unilag, how many more will come from government college? They have made a bright start and the future of cricket at the school looks great. Long may it continue.
