IKORODU PARENTS "MEET THE COACH" CRICKET COMMUNITY EVENT
Over 50 Parents/Guardians of students of both Ipakodo and Majidun Grammar schools gathered to a meeting requested by the Lagos head coach Ingram Jones to discuss the importance of a strong relationship that should include clear communication whether the student is at home, school or playing sport.
Students had already travelled to TBS Cricket Oval to see Nigeria women play cricket against Rwanda and also to see the CCC League final and a selected group trained with the Lagos state cricketers.
"I'm very thankful and honoured that the parents/guardians have trusted me with the children to take them from Ikorodu to watch and play cricket. Cricket is very new to Ikorodu as a community and it was very important that the parents met me face to face to discuss any concerns and to thank them for their trust to allow the students to play this wonderful game!" Jones commented.
The head coach also revealed an upcoming coaching assistant course for students to begin their journey into becoming a professional coach which would be held at Majidun Senior Grammar School in early June.
